Grand Hyatt Barcelona, part of Hyatt Hotels Corporation, seeks a Linen & Laundry Attendant to support housekeeping by ensuring high standards of linen care and uniform distribution. You will work across departments to maintain a smooth linen flow and contribute to guest satisfaction.

The role requires a proactive, detail‑oriented individual capable of rotating shifts, including weekends and holidays, with fluency in Spanish being a plus.

Formación

• Experience in a laundry, linen room, or housekeeping role typically in hotels or large facilities.
• Knowledge of garment care and laundry processes.
• Ability to iron various fabrics and textiles.
• Basic sewing skills for minor repairs.
• High standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Responsabilidades

• Sort, wash, dry, iron and fold linens and uniforms per standards.
• Store and organize clean linens and uniforms.
• Distribute linens to departments as required.
• Monitor stock levels and report shortages or damage.
• Identify and separate stained items for treatment or replacement.
• Maintain cleanliness of laundry and linen room areas.
• Operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow hygiene, safety and chemical handling procedures.

About the Role

As a Linen & Laundry Attendant, you will act as an ambassador of the Hyatt brand, ensuring all linens and uniforms meet the highest quality standards, supporting the overall operation and guest satisfaction.

This is an operational position with a rotating schedule, including shifts, weekends, and public holidays according to hotel operational needs. You will work closely with Housekeeping and other departments to maintain a smooth and efficient flow of linen and uniforms across the property.

Key Responsibilities

• Sorting, washing, drying, ironing, and folding linens and uniforms according to established standards
• Ensuring the proper storage and organization of clean linens and uniforms
• Distributing linen and uniforms to different departments as required
• Monitoring linen stock levels and reporting shortages or damages
• Identifying and separating stained or damaged items for special treatment or replacement
• Maintaining cleanliness and order in the laundry and linen room areas
• Operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently
• Following hygiene, safety, and chemical handling procedures at all times
• Supporting inventory controls and participating in periodic stock counts
• Responding promptly to departmental requests related to linen and uniforms
• Coordinating with external laundry suppliers when needed
• Maintaining accurate records of laundry operations and usage

Qualifications

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a laundry, linen room, or housekeeping role, preferably within hotels or large-scale facilities.
• Knowledge of garment care and laundry processes.
• Ability to properly iron different types of garments and textiles.
• Basic sewing skills for minor repairs and alterations.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness and presentation.
• Well-organized, with the ability to work efficiently in repetitive tasks.
• Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with other departments.
• Proactive, responsible, and service-oriented attitude.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Commitment to safety, hygiene, and established procedures.
• Fluency in Spanish is required; knowledge of English will be considered an asset.
