The primary responsibility of this role is to perform tasks related to publishing, assessing, and enhancing the quality of content in the Amazon Prime Video catalogue, using expert knowledge of the German language. The role involves making high-judgment decisions following standard operating procedures.

Please note that this is a Madrid office-based role.

Key job responsibilities

1. Apply knowledge of German language to execute small-scale projects or components of larger projects to improve processes, using tools and reporting to achieve quality metrics.
2. Manage escalations on routine tasks.
3. Create or fix media assets such as subtitles, metadata, or artwork with high quality.

About The Team

The Prime Video Global Operations team, with sites in Chennai, India, and San Jose, Costa Rica, collaborates with various stakeholders to oversee asset delivery, system processing, content publishing, and ensuring defect-free, complete content for global audiences. We focus on ensuring a seamless, device-agnostic, high-engagement experience for customers.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluency in German (C1 level), including understanding region-specific jargon and colloquialisms.
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Background in foreign languages, translation studies, or linguistics, or 1-2 years of experience in localization or subtitling.
• Ability to deliver results and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Critical thinking skills and ability to provide insights on creative content.
• Understanding of digital media and digital video supply chains.
• Experience in content publishing or quality management in the post-production or studio industry.
