A leading global AI infrastructure company is expanding its data center development portfolio in Spain and is looking for a Land Specialist to support the identification, assessment and progression of land opportunities across Extremadura.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the early stages of major infrastructure projects, helping assess land suitability, identify site constraints and ensure the technical information required for acquisition and development decisions is accurate and readily available. You will work closely with land, development, engineering and permitting teams, gaining exposure to large-scale, power-connected AI and data center projects.

Based in Extremadura, you will collaborate with external consultants, surveyors, landowners and public authorities in an international development environment, with the opportunity to build your expertise in land due diligence and infrastructure development.

Responsibilities:
  • Assess potential land opportunities by reviewing cadastral data, ownership information, maps, planning references, access conditions and land-use constraints.
  • Prepare and maintain technical land documentation, including site summaries, parcel information, maps, constraint matrices and due diligence checklists.
  • Support desktop and field due diligence, gathering information on boundaries, easements, rights of way, access routes, topography, utilities and nearby infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with surveyors, technical consultants, advisors, landowners, public authorities and internal stakeholders to obtain and validate land-related information.
  • Maintain GIS, cadastral and project tracking records, ensuring land status, constraints, risks and next steps are accurately documented.
  • Identify and elevate land-related risks that could affect acquisition, permitting, design, grid connections or construction.
  • Prepare technical data, maps, status updates and constraint summaries to support project assessments and investment decisions.
  • Improve land development processes by standardising mapping outputs, data collection, due diligence templates and documentation practices.
Skills/Must have:
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience in land management, real estate, urban planning, surveying, GIS, permitting, infrastructure development, renewable energy, utilities or a related technical environment.
  • Good understanding of cadastral information, land boundaries, ownership records, easements, access rights and land-use constraints.
  • Experience reviewing or preparing technical documentation, site assessments, mapping outputs, due diligence materials or project trackers.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with GIS, cadastral, mapping or project tracking platforms.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies, missing information, deadlines and potential technical risks.
  • Ability to coordinate information across internal teams and external stakeholders, including consultants, landowners and public authorities.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, communication and follow-up skills.
  • A qualification in surveying, geography, urban planning, civil engineering, environmental studies, geomatics, land management, real estate or a related discipline is desirable.
  • Experience working with cadastral records, land due diligence, mapping or site assessment.
  • Familiarity with CAD or geospatial data tools.
  • Exposure to infrastructure, energy or data center development projects.
  • Fluent English and Spanish
