We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Neurodegenerative Diseases Group.
Education and qualifications :
Required :
- Higher Vocational Training in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Techniques
- Certificate in handling animals for research purposes
Experience and knowledge :
Required :
- At least 4 years’ experience working in a research laboratory
- Experience in animal experimentation: handling, behavioural testing, and sample processing
- Experience in cell biology and molecular biology techniques, including :
- Maintenance and manipulation of cell cultures
- Histopathology techniques
- Immunofluorescence microscopy
- Purification and processing of biological samples (DNA, RNA, proteins)
- Good command of spoken and written English
Desired :
- Relevant training courses related to the job description (biological techniques, animal handling, quality systems, etc.) will be highly valued
Main responsibilities and duties :
- Provide technical support for mouse-based experimental procedures.
- Provide technical support for various molecular biology methods.
- Assist in laboratory organization (e.g., managing orders, preparing reagents, maintaining stocks).
Labour conditions :
- Full-time: 40h/week
- Gross annual salary: 21,800 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
- Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
