Laboratory Technician (Neurodegenerative Diseases)

We are currently seeking a Laboratory Technician to join the Neurodegenerative Diseases Group.

Education and qualifications :

Required :

• Higher Vocational Training in Clinical and Biomedical Laboratory Techniques
• Certificate in handling animals for research purposes

Experience and knowledge :

Required :

• At least 4 years’ experience working in a research laboratory
• Experience in animal experimentation: handling, behavioural testing, and sample processing
• Experience in cell biology and molecular biology techniques, including :
• Maintenance and manipulation of cell cultures
• Histopathology techniques
• Immunofluorescence microscopy
• Purification and processing of biological samples (DNA, RNA, proteins)
• Good command of spoken and written English

Desired :

• Relevant training courses related to the job description (biological techniques, animal handling, quality systems, etc.) will be highly valued

Main responsibilities and duties :

• Provide technical support for mouse-based experimental procedures.
• Provide technical support for various molecular biology methods.
• Assist in laboratory organization (e.g., managing orders, preparing reagents, maintaining stocks).

Labour conditions :

• Full-time: 40h/week
• Gross annual salary: 21,800 euros (Salary ranges are consistent with our Collective Agreement pay scale)
• Contract: Technical and scientific activities contract linked to the project activities
