Our unique platform enables the construction of a global immune biobank at unprecedented speed, driving advancements in therapeutic discovery, preventative health, and sports science.We seek a skilled Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic Experimental Group at the Parc Científic de Barcelona. In this role, you will be an integral part of our daily laboratory operations, focusing on sample preparation and execution of innovative sequencing protocols. You will thrive in our highly collaborative and international work environment.Key Accountabilities and ResponsibilitiesEnsure accurate and timely processing of production samplesIsolate cells from blood and other tissues to prepare cell suspensionsPerform nucleic acid isolation proceduresConduct quality control (QC) analysesWork safely and effectively in Biosafety Level 2 (BSL2) environmentPrepare libraries for next-generation sequencingCoordinate the submission of sequencing librariesManage and maintain laboratory stocksMaintain detailed and accurate records and reports of laboratory workUtilize electronic lab management system (LIMS) according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)Track and maintain accurate inventory of reagents, consumables, and suppliesPerform routine maintenance, calibration, and ensure the functionality of lab equipmentStay up-to-date with relevant scientific literatureQualificationsBachelor’s degree in biomedical or biological sciences, Higher National Diploma (FP2) or equivalent qualifications demonstrating competence in molecular biologyExtensive experience in molecular and cell biology techniques, including PBMC isolation, nucleic acid isolation, PCR, and related methodsSignificant experience working in BSL2Demonstrated experience in human cell sample processing and biobankingProficiency in nucleic acid isolation and quality controlExperience with next-generation sequencing library preparationStrong foundation in biology, molecular biology, genetics, and immunologyKnowledge of sequencing technologies and their applicationsProven ability to implement new protocolsProven ability to write comprehensive experimental reportsKnowledge of laboratory health and safety regulations, including risk assessmentsPractical skills in Microsoft Office packagesCompetencesAbility to work collaboratively in a team, providing support to colleagues and contributing to a positive work environmentSelf-motivated and proactiveAdaptable to changing priorities and needsOutstanding interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and writtenLocation and Employment DetailsLocation :
