Are you willing to join us as part of the postharvest department?

This is why you want to join us as a laboratory technician

  • You have the ability to work with all relevant systems/basic equipment
  • You have the ability to work with different crops and chemicals in the prescribed and safe manner
  • You are proficient in both the local and English languages, both written and verbal
  • You are curious and capable of executing routine tests/productions on seed and plant material according to precise regulations and protocols
  • You are committed to delivering quality data as part of research programs

In this role, you will work in an innovative postharvest department. Your main responsibilities include:

  • Independent execution and assessment of routine tests/productions and the administrative processing thereof
  • Recording results in designated systems and signaling abnormalities
  • Correct use of all basic equipment and troubleshooting
  • Understanding, interpreting, and applying protocols for tests/productions, and signaling errors
  • Planning daily activities and, where appropriate, guiding lower-level Laboratory Technicians
  • Induction and guidance of lower-level Laboratory Technicians and interns
  • Maintaining a healthy and safe work environment

  • Colleagues within the department - exchange information, explain facts/practices
  • Other internal departments - exchange information, provide results and advice, report abnormalities
  • International Enza branches - exchange information, provide advice
