Laboratory Technician – Process Innovation & Catalysis

Are you ready to play a key role at IFF? We are looking for a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality team in Alcantarilla, Murcia.

You will be responsible for executing trials, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the smooth operation of quality activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Experimental Execution & Analysis
• Prepare and execute laboratory trials.
• Operate sampling, analysis, and data manipulation equipment (GC, GC-MS, HPLC).
• Ensure accurate reporting of experimental results.
• Laboratory Operations & Maintenance
• Support organization and housekeeping activities in the lab.
• Manage preventive maintenance for analytical equipment.
• Monitor and replenish reactive and consumable supplies when needed.
• Coordinate sample shipments to external facilities.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
• Ensure effective communication with pilot and industrial plant operators.
• Support process optimization initiatives within the technical team.
  
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Education: Higher Technician Degree (FP Grado Superior) in Analysis and Control, Chemistry, or equivalent.
• Experience: At least 6 months of laboratory experience in reactor operation and gas chromatography analysis.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in gas chromatography (GC, GC-MS), HPLC.
• Knowledge of lab equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
• Soft Skills:
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal capabilities.
• Resilient and result-oriented mindset.
• Attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and adaptability.
