International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) is seeking a Senior Scientist to advance biocatalysis-enabled scent molecules in Benicarló, Spain. You will design novel biocatalytic routes, optimize processes, and translate lab findings toward scalable manufacturing.

You will lead interdisciplinary collaborations, mentor junior scientists, and report results with clarity while staying aligned with IFF's sustainability and fragrance portfolio goals.

Formación

• PhD in Organic Chemistry, Bioorganic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field.
• 3–5 years of biocatalysis experience in industry preferred.
• Strong expertise in enzymatic catalysis and organic synthesis.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams; excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Responsabilidades

• Design and implement novel biocatalytic methodologies with direct application to scent molecule development.
• Develop experimental procedures, analyze data, and ensure accurate reporting.
• Conduct research projects from early-stage validation through scale-up.
• Explore biotransformation and organic chemistry advancements through literature and IP research.
• Mentor junior scientists and deliver training to technical teams; act as SME in biocatalysis.
