Introduction to the vacant position:

The Biomimetic systems for cell engineering Group is looking for a Laboratory Assistant to assist the ongoing research projects of the group, particularly in the fabrication of hydrogel-based 3D models and support cell culture activities. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree with excellent manual skills to handle delicate materials.

Main tasks and responsibilities / The successful candidate will develop research involving:

• Assist in the preparation and assembly of hydrogel-based 3D models
• Perform routine cell culture maintenance and support experimental procedures
• Handle small tools and components with precision and care
• Maintain organized lab records and ensure compliance with safety protocols

Requirements for candidates:

• Technical training in biomedical laboratory or similar
• Basic experience with cell culture techniques will be advantageous
• Excellent manual skills and attention to detail
• Patience and the ability to work meticulously under supervision
• Communication, Teamwork and collaboration, Commitment, Proactivity, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinking.
• Adaptability and willingness to support the diverse needs of the team
• Basic level of English since it is the main communication language within the group

• Starting date: July 2025
• Working conditions:
• Full-time 6 months contract
