A prominent research institute in Barcelona is seeking a researcher to study female fertility mechanisms. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s degree and have experience with mice models and mitochondrial biology. The Cent re for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
The Boke Lab, led by Dr. Elvan Boke, is part of the Quantitative Cell Biology Programme at CRG Barcelona. Our team studies the molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying female fertility, using a combination of molecular biology, imaging, and model systems to understand how oocytes maintain viability and functionality. The lab is embedded in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment with access to state-of-the-art facilities.

Professional experience
Must Have
You have a master's degree
You have proven experience in using mice models
You have at least 1 year of experience working with mitochondrial biology
Desirable but not required/ Nice to have
Animal Certificate
Experience with oocyte handling, reproductive biology, or live-cell imaging is an asset
Familiarity with data analysis tools and basic bioinformatics
Education and training
You hold a Master’s degree in Biology, Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or a related field
Languages
You are proficient i n English
Technical skills
You have advanced MS Office skills
You have experience with molecular biology techniques (PCR, cloning, Western blot), cell culture, and microscop
Competences
Highly developed organization al skills
Attention to detail and precision in experimental work
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
