We are excited to announce that following our 11 years of success in the UK, we are opening a studio in Madrid. If you think you may have some of the skills listed in this job advertisement, why don’t you give it a try?

If you are interested in being part of this exciting project, then you need to apply, and we will share with you the next steps to complete the screening/recruitment process.

What will you do?

Play and test the games. Literally. But we need you to be on it and all over it. Relentless with your approach to testing games. As an absolute perfectionist, you will find linguistic bugs and report these back using a bug database, communicating across global boundaries in an unambiguous way, which is why it is important you can communicate in clear English.

The role will suit candidates who can work from Monday to Friday full-time on a day shift, typically starting at 9:00am. This is an onsite role, and your presence in the office will be required. Our office will be located in Alvento Business Park, Vía de los Poblados, 1-3 28033, Madrid.

What would you do at work?
  • Your job is to make sure games and applications provide the best user experience by being linguistically bug-free.
  • Check in-game text for linguistic accuracy and correctness, and its accordance to cultural rules.
  • Learn how to follow the Universally Speaking LQA process and professional standards optimized over the years to be the best in the industry.
  • Use a variety of industry-standard bug databases to write detailed bug reports that get you noticed as someone who is trusted and cares about making games better.
  • Ensure that bugs have been fixed and implemented correctly.
  • Become the LQA Expert across a broad range of Indie to AAA projects and given areas of specialization.
  • Own, manage, create, and regularly execute test cases throughout the project life cycle. This includes documenting testing practices, LQA processes, and reporting methods.
  • Actively participate in test requirement gathering with developers to ensure Localisation QA effectively tests and supports all features of the project.
  • Look for ways to make improvements, take ownership of additional activities, and create efficiencies in the way you work.
  • Cooperate with the QA team.
Measures of Performance:
  • Quality, velocity, and precision of bug reports.
  • On-time delivery.
  • Teamwork and communication.
  • Continuous improvement and knowledge of LQA workflow and techniques.

Requirements

You are a great match if you:
  • Are an expert in Korean.

  • Are passionate about video games.
  • Are a team player, with the ability to work under pressure within tight deadlines.
  • Are proactive, tenacious, and enthusiastic.
  • Have a focus on quality and a keen eye for detail.
  • Are good with computers – word processing, database handling, record keeping, and have a good working knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Have the right to work in Spain – these positions are not eligible for sponsorship.

  • Experience with working with the software tools in use for LQA testing (test case management and text editing tools).
  • Working knowledge of CAT tools (MemoQ).
