Grand Hyatt Barcelona is seeking a proactive Kitchen Storekeeper to join our Culinary team. You will receive, store, organize, and distribute food and beverage products, ensuring accurate inventory and adherence to food safety standards.

Work closely with Purchasing, Receiving, Stewarding, and Culinary teams to support efficient kitchen operations. Fluency in Spanish is required and you must be physically capable of shift tasks and lifting as needed.

Formación

• Background in warehouse, logistics, storekeeping or hospitality preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Able to perform physically demanding tasks during shifts.
• Knowledge of inventory management and stock control is preferred.
• Basic Excel and Office proficiency is beneficial.
• Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is advantageous.
• Capable of working independently and in a team.

Responsabilidades

• Receive, inspect, and store food, beverage and operating supplies in designated areas and cold rooms.
• Verify deliveries, quantities, quality, expiration dates and condition of goods.
• Organize stock following procedures and safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support stock counts.
• Distribute products to kitchens, restaurants and hotel outlets as needed.
• Ensure FIFO rotation and monitor product expiration dates.
• Keep storage areas, refrigerators, and workspaces clean and safe.
• Support loading/unloading and movement of products throughout the hotel.
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Receiving and Culinary teams for stock management.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt standards and safety policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.

Summary

Kitchen Storekeeper

At Grand Hyatt Barcelona, one of Barcelona's newest luxury landmarks, we are looking for a proactive, organized, and physically active Kitchen Storekeeper to join our Culinary team.

This role is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing food and beverage products across kitchen outlets while ensuring accurate inventory records, proper product rotation, and compliance with food safety and hygiene standards. Working closely with the Purchasing, Receiving, Stewarding, and Culinary teams, you will play a key role in supporting the efficient operation of our kitchens and restaurants.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and store food, beverage, and operating supplies in designated storage areas and cold rooms.
• Verify deliveries, quantities, product quality, expiration dates, and overall condition of goods received.
• Organize stock according to company procedures and food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and support regular stock counts and inventory controls.
• Distribute products to kitchens, restaurants, and other hotel outlets according to operational needs.
• Ensure proper stock rotation following FIFO procedures and monitor product expiration dates.
• Keep storage areas, refrigerators, and workspaces clean, organized, and safe at all times.
• Support the loading, unloading, movement, and transportation of products throughout the hotel.
• Collaborate closely with Purchasing, Receiving, and Culinary teams to ensure efficient stock management.
• Ensure compliance with Hyatt brand standards, company policies, and health and safety procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned by hotel management.

Qualifications

Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, storekeeping, or hospitality-related role is preferred.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, carrying, and moving products throughout the shift.
• Basic knowledge of inventory management and stock control processes is preferred.
• Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office applications is prefrerred.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and workplace safety standards is an advantage.
• Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills and a proactive attitude.
• Fluent Spanish is required;
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, organization, and safety.
