ENGIE España in Madrid seeks a seasoned Key Account Manager for Green Power & Gas to drive sustainable growth through long-term partnerships with strategic customers. You will position ENGIE as a trusted energy advisor and lead negotiations, cross-functional collaboration, and education on green solutions.

You will develop strategies to meet revenue targets, manage key accounts, and identify opportunities to expand offerings while ensuring regulatory compliance and risk management.

Formación

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, marketing, environmental science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development within renewable energy, focusing on green power products.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and sustainability trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with ability to convey complex concepts to clients.
  • Self-driven with strong teamwork and customer risk management orientation.
  • Results-oriented with track record of meeting/exceeding sales targets.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to green power sales and renewable energy projects.
  • Analytical skills for assessing market trends and opportunities.

Responsabilidades

  • Manage key client relationships and act as main contact for strategic accounts.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for green power and gas products.
  • Identify and pursue new business within existing accounts and expand product offerings.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and regulatory changes affecting sales.
  • Lead contract negotiations ensuring favorable terms and regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Prepare regular sales reports and analyses to optimize strategies.
  • Educate clients on benefits of green power and sustainability initiatives.

For our headquarters in Madrid, we are looking for a Key Account Manager, Green Power & Gas

Mission

Drive sustainable growth by developing long‑term partnerships with strategic customers and positioning ENGIE as a trusted energy advisor. Contribute to the energy transition by delivering innovative, value‑adding solutions that support clients’ business and sustainability objectives.

Functions
  • Client Relationship Management: Create and cultivate strong relationships with key clients in the downstream/corporate energy sector. Act as the main point of contact for key accounts and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets for green power and gas products,
  • Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within existing key accounts. Explore potential expansions of product offerings and services to meet client needs such as risk management services.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes in the energy industry. Provide insights into market dynamics that may impact sales strategies.
  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations for retail and other contractual agreements. Ensure terms are favourable for both the company and the client, while considering regulatory compliance and risk management.
  • Cross‑functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including project development, legal, finance, and technical teams, to ensure seamless execution of projects and contracts.
  • Sales Reporting: Prepare regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and key account activities (SalesForce, CRM…). Provide analysis and recommendations for optimizing sales strategies.
  • Customer Education: Educate clients about the benefits of green power solutions, sustainability initiatives, and the environmental impact of renewable energy projects.
  • Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or concerns raised by key accounts promptly. Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure effective solutions.
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, environmental science, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus.
  • Proven experience in key account management, sales, or business development within the renewable energy sector, with a focus on green power products.
  • Strong understanding of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and sustainability trends.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to clients.
  • Self driven with strong team player skills
