Are you a strategic and driven professional passionate about pharmaceutical sales and market access? IQVIA is looking for an experienced Key Account Manager to lead biosimilar product adoption across Central Spain, fostering meaningful relationships with hospital stakeholders.

About the role:

As a Key Account Manager, you will play an important role in expanding our partners’ biosimilar portfolio in Central Spain. You’ll build and strengthen partnerships with key stakeholders—including high-cost drug pharmacists, clinicians, and hospital managers—to maximize market penetration and product uptake. Your expertise in strategic account management, contract negotiations, and sales growth will play a critical role in advancing business objectives.

You will work closely with colleagues to provide decision-makers with the essential insights they need to support the widespread adoption and prescribing of our partners' products. Additionally, you will collect and analyze key market intelligence—including competitor activity, treatment patterns, and prescribing criteria—to shape strategic business decisions. A core focus of this role is establishing our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted leader in the biosimilars and biologics sector, driving sales growth and expanding market presence through strong relationship management and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Driving Commercial Activities: Manage commercial activities within your specialist area across the North West region.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with hospital stakeholders to promote the uptake of our partners' biosimilar products.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure decision-makers have all necessary information for maximal adoption and prescribing.
  • Market Positioning: Establish our biopharmaceutical client as a trusted partner in the biosimilars/biologics market.
  • Data Collection: Gather and report relevant information such as competitor data, treatment patterns, and product prescribing criteria.
  • Sales Growth: Drive the achievement of sales and market share growth.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Educational background in Life Sciences (e.g., Pharmacy, Biomedical, Medical and Public Health), or a Master’s/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Health Economics, or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a Key Account Manager, with at least 3-5 years in a pharmaceutical sales role dealing with specialist customer groups at the hospital level
  • Strong background in hospital pharmacy negotiations
  • Expertise in rheumatoid treatments and biosimilars
  • Fluency in both Spanish and English
  • Willingness to travel within the Central region
  • Full driving license essential
