Atida is an online pharmacy that is innovative, dynamic, and rapidly growing within the e-commerce sector, offering healthcare, beauty, and lifestyle products. It is part of the Marcol and InvestIndustrial Groups, two international private equity firms. The Spanish branch operates under the names Mifarma & Dosfarma.

We are focused on developing a pan-European online pharmacy business. The European pharmacy sector (excluding Russia) is valued at approximately €250 billion. This market potential, combined with the emerging online pharmacy market, presents a significant opportunity for Mifarma. We have acquired companies in Germany and Spain, with more acquisitions planned.

We are seeking a Legal Counsel to support our growth and strategic plans for our online pharmacy business in Spain, based at our central office in Albacete. Under the guidance of the CEO and the group Legal Manager, the main responsibilities of the Legal Counsel will include :

  • Legal Advisory and Compliance Oversight : Serving as the primary legal advisor on all company matters, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Overseeing compliance programs to mitigate legal risks.
  • Contract Management and Negotiation : Leading the drafting, review, and negotiation of contracts, especially with commercial suppliers. Ensuring all agreements comply with Spanish commercial law and protect the company's interests.
  • Legal Risk Assessment : Proactively identifying and advising on legal risks related to the company's operations and strategic initiatives. Keeping updated on changes in Spanish commercial law to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration : Working with various departments to provide legal guidance on projects, transactions, and strategic decisions, integrating legal considerations into business processes.
  • Dispute Resolution : Managing and advising on legal disputes and litigation to minimize exposure and risk to the company.
  • Policy Development and Implementation : Developing and implementing policies related to legal and compliance matters. The role requires working in the Albacete offices 2-3 days per week.

Minimum Qualifications :

  • Law degree (Master's) with a focus on Spanish commercial law.
  • At least 7 years of relevant legal experience as a lawyer or in-house counsel in commercial law.
  • Expertise in negotiating and managing large accounts contracts.
  • Experience in drafting and reviewing various legal agreements, with the ability to adapt legal requirements pragmatically and business-focused.
  • Strong understanding of compliance regulations and risk management within a corporate environment.
  • Native Spanish speaker with full professional proficiency in English (verbal and written).
