You will execute service work with the Traction Team in Valencia, Spain. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will act as the technical point of contact between customers and extended ABB teams.

Responsibilities:

• Providing on-site or remote technical support for installation, commissioning, and routine maintenance of equipment. Identifying technical problems and analyzing them through remote or on-site activities in different Service categories.
• Consulting with and advising customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Creating and maintaining strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs, and providing specialist support and solutions.
• Some domestic and/or international travel will be required (around 30%), as the role involves hands-on support at customer sites.
• Living ABB’s core values of safety and integrity, taking responsibility for your actions while caring for colleagues and the business.

Background:

• A degree as Electrical / Power Electronics engineer, FP2, or more than 5 years of experience in the Traction sector.
• Experience working as a Field Service technician, with knowledge in measurement technology in power electronics (voltage up to 4kV) and IGBT converter technology.
• Hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing Drives, Traction, or Wind Power Converters.
• High proficiency in Spanish (C1) and intermediate English (B2).
• Independent, structured, and proactive working style.
