Job summary

Santander Technology & Operations is seeking a Junior Technical Architect based mainly in Madrid, with a focus on cloud reference architectures for event-driven, microservices and serverless patterns. The role involves designing robust, scalable, and observable software solutions across the development lifecycle.

Ideal candidates have a Technical University Degree, exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD tools, plus fluency in English and Spanish.

Qualifications

• Technical University Degree required; post-graduate studies a plus.
• Experience with native cloud design patterns and enterprise architecture.
• Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven and serverless architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and evolve cloud reference architectures in the domains of Event Driven Architectures, Microservices Architectures and Serverless Architectures.
• Definition and design of architectural solutions for robust, scalable, secure and observable applications across the development cycle.
• Definition and design of technical solutions for projects and cloud platforms based on reference architectures.
• Execution of proofs of concept, product certification and benchmarking in technical domains.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

As Technical Architect you will:

• Definition and evolution of cloud reference technical architectures in the domains of Event Driven Architectures, Microservices Architectures and Serverless Architectures. Definition of technical architecture blueprints, patterns and best practices.
• Definition and design of architectural solutions that facilitate the development of robust, scalable, secure and observable applications and cover the entire development cycle from the point of view of Software Engineering best practices.
• Definition and design of technical solutions for projects and cloud platforms based on the previously defined technical reference architectures.
• Execution of proofs of concept, product certification and benchmarking, technology observatory in technical domains as microservices, event driven architectures, and serverless architectures.

EDUCATION

• Technical University Degree
• Post-graduate studies will be a plus

EXPERIENCE

• Experience with some of the major native cloud application design patterns: Communication patterns, Connectivity patterns, Data Management patterns, Event-Driven Architecture patterns, Stream-Processing patterns, API Management and consumptions patterns.
