UST is expanding its architecture team in Madrid, seeking a senior Enterprise Architect to shape the technology landscape for Corporate Investment Banking transformations. The role focuses on target architectures, roadmaps, and governance across global stakeholders in a hybrid Madrid setting.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in EA/Transformation, deep CIB exposure, cloud and security expertise, and strong stakeholder communication.

Formación

• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Technology Architecture, or Transformation programmes.
• Minimum 3 years in CIB or Wholesale Banking environments.
• Proven experience in Enterprise Architecture, Reference Architecture/Target Architecture, Architecture Transformation, Application Rationalization, Platform Consolidation, Technology Modernization, Current-to-Target Assessments.
• Strong understanding of Application ecosystems, Data Architecture, Integration Architecture, Cloud Technologies, Cybersecurity, Resilience and Operational Risk.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic technology decisions.
• English level B2 minimum (C1 preferred).
• Preparing and presenting recommendations, leading workshops and collaborating with international stakeholders.

Responsabilidades

• Define target and reference architectures for strategic CIB capabilities.
• Decompose business capabilities into architectural building blocks and define architecture principles, integration patterns, and transition roadmaps.
• Challenge current technology strategies with CIOs and senior stakeholders.
• Assess application and platform landscapes for duplication, fragmentation, technical debt, risks, and consolidation opportunities.
• Translate architecture decisions into actionable roadmaps including migration, modernization, consolidation, or retirement strategies.
• Evaluate market and vendor solutions via buy/build/reuse, considering adoption, fit, lock-in, and TCO.
• Lead architecture governance forums, decision-making workshops, and cross-domain groups.
• Define governance and target-state strategies for AI-enabled solutions and EUC environments.
• Support investment planning by transforming architecture decisions into fundable initiatives and business cases.

Main tasks and accountabilities will be:

• Defining target and reference architectures for strategic CIB capabilities.

What do we expect from you?

Mandatory requirements:

• 8+ years of experience in Enterprise Architecture, Technology Architecture, or Transformation programmes.
• Minimum 3 years of experience within CIB (Corporate Investment Banking) or Wholesale Banking environments.

Work Location

Madrid (hybrid model) Candidates must be based in Madrid or nearby areas and able to attend the office several days per week. This is not a fully remote position.
