What does a Junior Teacher Operations Manager do at Busuu?

• Supports the online teaching team for Busuu’s platforms

• Helps with teacher recruitment, training and onboarding

• Helps motivate and grow our team of online language teachers

• Liaises closely with the Teacher Operations, Education, Live and B2B teams to make sure our clients’ needs are met.

What we’re looking for in a Junior Teacher Operations Manager

Essential Skills & Experience:

• 3+ years experience teaching languages to adults in blended or fully digital programs.

• Strong command of English and speak a second language to at least a B2 level (German or French preferred).

• Strong email etiquette

• You are a problem solver. You excel at simplifying and improving processes and projects.

• You are empathetic, patient and have strong people skills.

• You are detail-oriented, whilst being able to zoom out and see the big picture.

• You have strong communication skills: ability to be clear, diplomatic and concise.

• You enjoy hands-on work including working with teachers as well as internal teams.

Bonus Skills & Experience:

• Experience of training and developing language teachers

• Experience leading or managing a large team of teachers

• Business experience or a related degree

• Experience in the EdTech industry

• Experience learning a language as an adult
