Job Description

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer with strong Python programming skills to join our team. You will assist in the development of APIs, support automation tasks, and contribute to data processing pipelines. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience with geospatial data and cloud technologies while working in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist in the development and maintenance of APIs for geospatial data access.
2. Support data download, transformation, and processing automation.
3. Work with Docker to understand containerized applications.
4. Collaborate closely with senior engineers and learn best practices.
5. Contribute to improving existing workflows and software quality.

Required Skills

1. Basic proficiency in Python for software development.
2. Familiarity with APIs (e.g., REST, FastAPI, Flask).
3. Knowledge of Docker for container management.
4. Understanding of Linux OS and command-line tools.
5. Willingness to learn parallelization and data processing techniques.

Nice-to-Have Skills

1. Experience working with geospatial data and Earth observation datasets.
2. Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
3. Basic knowledge of database management (PostgreSQL / PostGIS).
