About the role

What are we looking for :

We are looking for a Junior Software Engineer to join the backend team with outstanding software development talent proven by great work results / experience. Someone who cares about code quality and not just getting things done, but getting things done right. Someone seeking their first professional opportunity.

If you're smart, energetic, familiar with CI / CD pipelines, and eager to thrive in a fast-paced environment, we are aligned.

What would you do at Fever?

In your first month :

• Fully integrate into the team, participate in planning, grooming, and retrospectives, and meet different departments at Fever.
• Familiarize yourself with Fever’s tech stack, including frameworks, CI / CD workflows, and supporting infrastructure.
• Contribute to merging and deploying Pull Requests in production.
• Attend Fever Original experiences like Candlelight.

After 3 months :

• Develop solutions to complex problems, from architecture to implementation.
• Create production-grade Python code to handle high traffic, monitor outcomes, and improve functionalities.
• Participate in hackdays and hackathons, getting to know the engineering team better.

On your 6th month :

• Take responsibility for different system components, analyze user data, and evolve the platform accordingly.
• Participate in launching new microservices from inception to production.
• Mentor colleagues through code reviews, architecture sessions, and pair programming.
• Join team-building activities organized for your team or the entire engineering department.

About you

You are a recent engineering graduate or in your final year, seeking your first professional role.

It would be a plus if you have experience with :

• Relational databases and SQL
• Redis
• Celery with RabbitMQ
• AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes
• Best practices, testing, and design patterns
• RESTful APIs (development and consumption)
