Huawei is seeking a Junior RAN Engineer in Madrid to support the design and delivery of multi-technology mobile network infrastructure (2G/3G/4G/5G). Recent graduates (2025/2026) will work with field teams and senior engineers on site to gain practical telecom experience.

This role offers onboarding training in RAN technologies, mentorship from a senior engineer, and growth paths toward RF optimization, core network, or planning in a fast-evolving telecom environment.

Formación

We are looking for a Junior RAN Engineer, recently graduated, to join our Radio Access Network Delivery team. The selected candidate will support the design and delivery of multi-technology mobile network infrastructure (2G/3G/4G/5G), working closely with field teams, planning, and senior engineers.

This is an excellent opportunity to start a technical career in telecommunications, with continuous training and mentorship from experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the configuration, parameterization, and commissioning of 2G/3G/4G/5G base stations.
• Support new site integrations (Single RAN) and software/hardware upgrades.
• Document configurations, incidents, and changes in network management databases (NMS/OSS).
• Collaborate with field teams, RF planning, Tx and core network teams to resolve technical issues.
• Analyze alarms related to the RAN layer.
• Contribute to technical reports on network performance.

Education:

• Degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electronics, Systems Engineering, or a related field (recent graduate in 2025/2026 or about to graduate).

Technical Knowledge:

• Fundamentals of mobile network architectures (2G/GSM, 3G/UMTS, 4G/LTE, 5G/NR).
• Basic RF concepts: propagation, coverage, capacity, interference.
• Basic understanding of signaling protocols (S1, X2, Xn, among others) — desirable.
• Basic understanding of IP Networking (IP, VLAN, OSI Model, Routing protocolos, among others) — desirable.
• Familiarity with KPI analysis (desirable, not mandatory).
• Basic knowledge of major vendor equipment (Huawei) — a plus.

Skills:

• Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Teamwork and strong technical communication.
• Willingness to learn and work in the field when required.
• Organization and attention to detail in technical documentation.

Other:

• Availability to travel occasionally to network sites.
• English (able to communicate with other colleagues, read manuals and documentation, and write reports).
