The Sustainable Mining and By-Products Research Team is dedicated to advancing sustainable practices in the steel and mining industry. Their expertise includes environmental stewardship, tailings management, resource optimization, and valorization of steel and mining by-products. The team aims to minimize environmental impact, reduce resource depletion, and promote the efficient use of valuable by-products, balancing raw material extraction with ecological and community well-being.

Your role:

• Assist in research, analysis, and testing to reuse or valorize steel by-products.
• Collaborate with suppliers and partners to evaluate new materials and technologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends, metallurgical advancements, and regulations.
• Design and oversee laboratory and field experiments.
• Analyze data and develop insights and models.
• Prepare technical reports, papers, and presentations.

This role involves cross-functional collaboration to optimize processes and develop innovative solutions for steel by-products utilization.

Your profile:

• Master's or PhD in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, Mining Engineering, or related field.
• Experience in the field is appreciated.
• Understanding of metallurgical principles and techniques.
• Ability to challenge current technologies and propose innovative solutions.
• Experience in project and stakeholder management.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.
• Initiative, adaptability, results orientation, teamwork, and curiosity.
