GMV is expanding its Ground Segment Networks team to design, deploy, and validate communications networks for satellite navigation systems in the space sector. The role focuses on configuring network hardware, creating virtualized environments, and producing clear technical documentation for major European space missions.

You will collaborate with network and hardware experts, participate in complex IT environments, and contribute to security and reliability across mission networks.

Formación

• Experience in Networked IT Systems Administration or similar.
• Knowledge of routing and switching, Linux administration and VMware-based virtualization.
• Familiarity with network security, traffic analysis tools, structured cabling, and managing complex IT environments.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

We are looking for candidates to join our Ground Segment Networks team, responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of communication networks for satellite navigation systems. The team brings together network and hardware experts responsible for the platforms that support the ground infrastructure of major European space missions, including the European satellite constellations Galileo and Celeste, which provide positioning and navigation services worldwide.

As part of your role

You will contribute to installation and configuration of network hardware and devices, design and implementation of virtualized environments, integration and validation of network systems, and creation and maintenance of technical documentation. You will also participate in support and troubleshooting activities across complex network infrastructures.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for candidates with training and experience in Networked IT Systems Administration or similar, who are eager to develop their careers in networking, systems, and critical infrastructures.

Candidates should have knowledge of routing and switching, Linux system administration, VMware-based virtualization environments, network security, troubleshooting using traffic analysis tools, structured cabling, and the management of complex IT environments.

In addition, will be consider a plus: knowledge of technologies from vendors such as Cisco, HPE, Stormshield, or Sophos, automation tools such as Ansible, network architecture design and documentation, as well as an interest in space systems, mission networks, and critical environments.
