GMV Spain is expanding its Ground Segment Networks team to design, implement and deploy networked IT systems for satellite navigation projects.

You will install and configure network hardware, build virtualized environments, and document complex architectures for critical space missions.

Formación

• For this position, training and experience in Networked IT Systems Administration or similar.
• Knowledge of routing and switching, Linux system administration, and VMware virtualization.
• Experience with network security and troubleshooting using traffic analysis tools.

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

We are looking for candidates to join our Ground Segment Networks team, responsible for the design, implementation, and deployment of communication networks for satellite navigation systems. The team brings together network and hardware experts responsible for the platforms that support the ground infrastructure of major European space missions, including the European satellite constellations Galileo and Celeste, which provide positioning and navigation services worldwide.

As part of your role

You will contribute to the installation and configuration of network hardware and devices, the design and implementation of virtualized environments, the integration and validation of network systems, and the creation and maintenance of technical documentation. You will also participate in support and troubleshooting activities across complex network infrastructures.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this position, we are looking for candidates with training and experience in Networked IT Systems Administration or similar, who are eager to develop their careers in networking, systems, and critical infrastructures.

Candidates should have knowledge

of routing and switching, Linux system administration, VMware-based virtualization environments, network security, troubleshooting using traffic analysis tools, structured cabling, and the management of complex IT environments.

knowledge of technologies from vendors such as Cisco, HPE, Stormshield, or Sophos, automation tools such as Ansible, network architecture design and documentation, as well as an interest in space systems, mission networks, and critical environments.
