Haskoning in Málaga is seeking a Junior Mechanical BIM Engineer (MCF/Data Centres) to translate mechanical designs into accurate, data-rich BIM models and deliver coordinated, buildable solutions for Mission Critical Facilities.

You will work with international teams, using Revit and Revizto, and drive BIM innovation while adhering to Haskoning standards. A Mechanical Engineering degree and at least 2 years in consulting engineering are required, with English at B2.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years in consulting engineering.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC and plumbing) and BIM/Revit.
• Experience with Dynamo, Python and Rhino.Inside.Revit; Autodesk Forma familiarity.
• Excellent communication skills and English fluency (minimum B2). Spanish preferred; Dutch/German advantageous.

What you do as a Junior Mechanical BIM Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres)

As a Junior Mechanical BIM Engineer (MCF/ Data Centres), you will contribute to the design and delivery of Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) projects by translating mechanical engineering designs into accurate, data-rich BIM models. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, the Lead Engineer and BIM Coordinator, you will help deliver coordinated, buildable and technically robust solutions that minimise rework, support efficient project delivery and meet project objectives, client requirements and industry standards.

Your responsibilities include:

• Develop and coordinate BIM models for mechanical building services, translating engineering designs into coordinated, data-rich models with accurate service layouts and space reservations.
• Ensure constructible and fully integrated designs by incorporating installation, maintenance, accessibility and functionality while supporting clash detection and model coordination using tools such as Revit and Revizto.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary, international teams, maintaining close communication with Project Engineers and the BIM Coordinator and travelling internationally when required.
• Drive digital innovation and continuous improvement by proposing BIM solutions, optimising design workflows and sharing knowledge across the team.
• Deliver high-quality work that complies with Haskoning standards while meeting project objectives, client requirements and industry best practices.

Our global Mission Critical Facilities (MCF) team provides a multidisciplinary package of consultancy services for our datacenter clients. We provide strategic, tactical, and operational advice to our clients, including colocation datacentres, internet service providers, and telecom companies. Our team consists of colleagues with all kinds of different expertise. For example, mechanical engineering, construction, civil, structure, building, architecture, fire safety, controls engineering, and security technology. Together we use our knowledge and expertise to develop integrated designs for Data Centres.

What you bring

You are a proactive, solution-oriented professional with an entrepreneurial mindset and a genuine interest in digital innovation. You enjoy working in multidisciplinary teams, communicate effectively with colleagues and clients, and take ownership of delivering high-quality, practical engineering solutions in a collaborative environment.

Besides that, you have:

• A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and at least 2 years of experience in consulting engineering, providing the technical foundation to contribute to complex building services projects.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services (HVAC and plumbing) and proficiency in BIM and Revit, enabling you to develop accurate, coordinated and buildable designs. Experience in industrial or data centre projects is an advantage.
• Experience with digital design and automation tools, such as Dynamo, Python and Rhino.Inside.Revit, to support efficient design workflows and BIM innovation. Familiarity with Common Data Environments (e.g. Autodesk Forma) is essential for effective multidisciplinary collaboration.
• Excellent communication skills and fluency in English (minimum B2), allowing you to collaborate effectively with international project teams and clients. Spanish is preferred, while Dutch and / or German are considered an advantage.
• A collaborative and quality-driven approach, with the ability to work across disciplines, contribute to continuous improvement and deliver solutions that meet project, client and industry standards.
