Merkle, a dentsu company, in Barcelona, is seeking Java Developers at all levels to join agile teams working for a major telecommunications and media company. Reporting to your Team Lead, you will design and code Java backend applications with a focus on test-driven development, quality, and delivering increments each sprint.

Formación

• Degree in software engineering, computer science or engineering telecommunications.
• 1+ years Java/J2EE experience (2+ years preferred).
• Experience with Object-Oriented Design and programming.
• Enthusiastic and a great team player.
• Good level of English.
• EU work permission.
• Experience in an Agile environment (Scrum).
• Experience developing RESTful Web Services.
• Experience with Test-driven Development (TDD).
• Experience with Behavior-driven Development (BDD).
• Knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle).
• Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, Maven, GIT, Docker or Jenkins.

Responsabilidades

• Design and code Java backend applications using a test-driven development approach.
• Focus on code quality (refactoring, testing, clean code).
• Be involved in all phases of the development cycle (Analysis to Delivery).
• Deliver a valuable increment to the Business in every sprint.
• Translate high-level requirements into technical design.
• Help improve the team’s way of working.
• Support consumers of the team’s components.
