Merkle in Barcelona, Spain is seeking a Junior Java Software Engineer to design and implement Java backend applications using test-driven development.

You will ensure code quality, participate in all development phases, and deliver business value each sprint by translating high-level requirements into technical design. The role requires collaboration, eagerness to learn, and a strong foundation in Java technologies.

Formación

• Degree in software engineering, computer science or telecommunications engineering.
• 1–2 years experience with Java/J2EE.
• Knowledge of Object-Oriented Design is a plus.
• Good English; EU work permission.
• Experience with Agile Scrum; RESTful Web Services; TDD and BDD; relational databases and SQL (Oracle).
• Familiarity with Spring, Hibernate, iBatis, Maven, GIT, Docker, Jenkins.
• Enthusiastic team player.
