Job summary

GOPA Comunicacion in Barcelona seeks a Junior Financial Controller to help manage project budgets and financial objectives across the project lifecycle.

You will monitor budgets, analyse deviations, support managers with forecasts, and ensure compliance. The role offers a permanent contract and opportunities for training.

Qualifications

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2-4 years in financial controlling, project finance or financial analysis.
• English fluency required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments and gross margins.
• Analyse budget deviations, identify financial risks and support corrective actions.
• Support Project Managers with financial reviews and forecasts.
• Assist with project budgeting, tender analyses and financial reporting.
• Review Purchase Orders and Invoice allocations against approved budgets.
• Ensure compliance with financial procedures and contribute to process improvements.
• Support internal and external project audits when required, ensuring accurate financial documentation.
• Perform administrative and operational tasks related to the project financial management.

About the role: The Junior Financial Controller is involved in the process of the project lifecycle in order to control and secure the project financial objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor project budgets, costs, commitments and gross margins.

A BACKGROUND THAT CONVINCES US

Requirements:

• Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or related field.
• 2-4 years of experience in financial controlling, project finance or financial analysis.
• Experience in EU Projects is an advantage.
• Excel, Power BI knowledge and analytical skills.
• Fluent in English.
• Experience in ERP systems (Maconomy is an advantage).
• Be analytical, proactive, detail-oriented and collaborative.
• Based in Barcelona.
