Ebury Leon Office is seeking a Junior Financial Accountant to join our Finance team. This hybrid role (4 days in the office, 1 day remote) involves processing invoices, reconciling accounts and handling payments while supporting ongoing cost controls and reporting.

You will be part of a fast-growing fintech with clear career progression. Ideal candidates have at least 6 months in accounting, a related degree, strong Excel skills, and fluency in English and Spanish.

Formación

• At least 6 months of accounting experience.
• Degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics or similar.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• English and Spanish at C1 level; other languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Processing, verifying and reconciling invoices.
• Handling payments and expenses, including payroll-related tasks.
• Managing vendor queries for finance.
• Reconciling entries and posting accounts to ledgers.
• Preparing monthly reports and analyses of accounts.
• Collaborating on cross-department projects and audits.

Junior Financial Accountant - Accounts Payable

Ebury Leon Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home per week

Working as part of the Finance team from our offices in central Leon you will be responsible for processing, verifying and reconciling invoices plus making payments and controlling expenses by receiving payments.

What you’ll do

• Completing payments by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices
• Paying employees by verifying expense reports and preparing paychecks
• Managing all vendor queries regarding finance
• Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances.
• Maintaining accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
• Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
• Cross-departmental projects
• Collaborate in the audit process

What you’ll need

• At least half year of experience in accounting
• Formación Profesional or University degree in Accounting, Business Management, Economics or similar
• Advanced user of Microsoft Excel
• English (C1), Spanish (C1), other languages are a plus
• Detail-oriented, professional attitude and highly reliable
• Strong skills in problem-solving, basic accounting principles, teamwork, documentation, data analysis and multi-tasking
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Any ERP (NetSuite/Oracle, SAP and NAV) experience is a plus
