We are expanding our services and to support this growth we are looking for a Junior Digital Communications Officer to join our Policy in Action team.

PIA provides programme and network support, technical assistance, and mutual (peer-based) learning and training services to European Union (EU) institutions.

Our portfolio of projects covers a range of policy areas including employment, labour market, social inclusion and protection, education and training, and migration.

About the role :

The role involves supporting the digital communications of several projects.

We seek a candidate with experience in digital communications who is eager to expand their knowledge and grow within this role at ICF.

Your main responsibilities will include :

• Supporting content creation for communication outputs, focusing on social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Facebook, Instagram) and newsletters.
• Ensuring all online content adheres to the relevant project style guide and meets accessibility requirements.
• Sourcing relevant multimedia (photos, videos) to accompany online content and making minor edits.
• Supporting and monitoring functional mailboxes, handling requests for communication outputs.
• Assisting in sourcing suppliers for events and communication activities, including videographers, photographers, and promotional materials.
• Liaising with the communications manager and specialists to improve and seek opportunities for increasing project visibility.

What we are looking for :

• A university degree or equivalent experience in communications, cross-media, or a related discipline.
• Initial experience through an internship or traineeship in public sector institutions.
• Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
• Experience developing written content for social media and newsletters.
• Ability to develop visually compelling digital outputs with the support of graphic designers and communications specialists (e.g., for social media, newsletters, and in-person events).
• Knowledge of tools like Social Pilot, Hootsuite, CleverReach, Mailchimp, and/or Canva is a plus.
• Experience in social media analytics, trend monitoring, and comprehensive analysis is a plus.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills, including time management, multitasking, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including interacting with multinational and multidisciplinary stakeholders.
• A C1 (or equivalent) level of English is required.
