Job Description:

1. Design and development of Data Science and AI applications within an international and innovative development team.
2. Development and optimization of AI- and Data Science-specific components within applications, such as virtual assistant systems based on multimodal RAG and agent systems.
3. Contribution to the implementation of a comprehensive digitalization roadmap to optimize business processes using AI.
4. Consulting and supporting departments in modeling and implementing Data Science and AI use cases – from requirement gathering to modeling, deployment, and versioning.
5. Training internal employees in Data Science and AI through various learning and enabling formats.

Requirements:

1. Experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or in a comparable role, with a completed degree (Bachelor/Master) in Computer Science, Mathematics, or equivalent knowledge and skills.
2. Experience in defining requirements and developing use cases throughout the complete lifecycle of Data Science and AI solutions – from data annotation, model selection, training, validation, deployment, to solution monitoring and refinement.
3. Hands-on experience with (multimodal) AI models (text, vision, speech) from open- and closed-source providers, along with proven expertise in relevant prompting and fine-tuning strategies is essential.
4. Hands-on experience with various RAG techniques is essential. Experience with single- and multi-agent systems is beneficial.
5. Proven hands-on expertise in implementing Data Science and AI use cases using Python and relevant Data Science and AI libraries.
6. Experience with AWS Cloud and respective services is desirable; experience with other cloud providers and services is an advantage.
7. Knowledge and familiarity with agile software development processes such as SCRUM is a benefit.
8. Communication and visualization skills to mediate between different stakeholder groups and to support colleagues.
9. Strong way of independent and team-oriented working is an essential requirement for the job positioning.
10. Very good command of English, both spoken and written, is a must.
