Geoskop is looking for a junior data scientist (onsite job in Sabadell, Spain, full-time) to strengthen its scientific and technical capabilities of Climate Intelligence, contributing to the development of new climate prediction algorithms combining statistics and Artificial Intelligence, working on various projects for different industries.

Your duties will be :

1. Explore new tools based on Artificial Intelligence that add value to the industry by incorporating predictive climate/weather data.
2. Develop algorithms to access and standardize data to extend Geoskop's predictive capabilities.
3. Automate these algorithms, their validation, uncertainty quantification, and input data preprocessing.
4. Assist in managing and improving our back-end system, testing, and interacting with end-users.
5. Analyze raw data: assess quality, cleanse, and structure for downstream processing.
6. Engage directly in projects with clients to generate actionable insights for business improvements.

What Geoskop is looking for :

• Graduated in physical sciences, climatology, applied mathematics, or related disciplines.
• Proficient in Python, especially for scientific computing (Numpy preferred).
• Advanced English level or higher.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• (Desirable) Experience in developing, testing, and debugging algorithms.
• (Desirable) Experience with TensorFlow-Keras and Scikit-Learn.
• (Desirable) Knowledge of Python compilers like Cython, Numba, and multiprocessing.
• (Desirable) Knowledge of Bash and SLURM.
• (Desirable) Experience in data modeling, interpretation, and transformation into valuable information.
• (Desirable) Scientific publications in climatology or related fields.
