Join a leading global consulting firm in Madrid as part of the Electric Power & Natural Gas team. You will engage in strategic analysis and operational topics surrounding energy transition, working closely with consultants and clients to deliver impactful insights. Your Growth
You will join our Madrid office as part of our global Electric Power & Natural Gas Capabilities & Insights (Research) team.
The EPNG team includes ~30 professionals who work alongside our consultants and clients to generate distinctive insights and proprietary knowledge. You will also be part of our global Client Capabilities Network where colleagues are driven by a culture of innovation and deliver distinctive client impact through assets and expertise.
Within our EPNG Capabilities & Insights network, you'll be working on strategic, analytical and operational topics with a focus on many elements surrounding energy transition including renewables, strategy/corporate finance, transmission & distribution (T&D) or retail markets. Your Impact
You will research and synthesize actionable insights in response to complex research questions posed by our consulting teams and clients, leveraging a solid understanding of business and technology trends, issues and concepts in the power and gas industry.
You will collect and analyze data and information found in databases and/or other primary and secondary research tools. You will assemble the relevant fact base, counsel consultants and clients on the scope of business operations, technology, and strategic and economic trends within the electricity and broader energy transition space, and provide insights and analysis for solving our clients' problems.
Some of your day-to-day tasks will include identifying the key issues for the problem at hand and determining the most appropriate solution, while effectively balancing quality, availability, timeliness, and cost factors. You’ll perform a variety of analyses such as benchmarking, trend identification, industry profiling, market sizing, growth projections, opportunity scanning, etc., in order to add value to problem-solving discussions. You’ll also provide synthesis, insight and client implications within tight deadlines via end products in the form of PowerPoint charts, written memos, models and frameworks.
This role will afford you the opportunity to work alongside senior knowledge professionals on larger client facing projects and internal knowledge initiatives. In time, you will also participate in, and eventually lead, internal knowledge development and capability-building initiatives and use advanced analytics tools to prepare and analyze large datasets to distill insights. As you develop professionally in the role, you will have the opportunity to serve clients directly, further develop and own proprietary tools and knowledge for McKinsey, and mentor more junior colleagues.
