Marosa by Wolters Kluwer, based in Vigo, is seeking a Junior Backend Engineer to join our growing engineering team. You will contribute to building backend services with Java/Spring Boot and collaborate across product, design, and frontend teams.

You’ll work on real products used by multinational clients, write clean, well-tested code, and grow your skills in architecture, performance, reliability, and security in a production environment.

Formación

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• 1–2 years of Java and object-oriented programming experience.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot or willingness to learn quickly.
• Basic understanding of REST APIs and how web apps communicate.
• Strong problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
• Good communication and collaborative attitude.
• Eagerness to learn and grow within a supportive team.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and maintain backend services using Java and Spring Boot, with guidance from senior engineers.
• Build and improve RESTful APIs consumed by internal and external clients.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following team standards.
• Participate in code reviews, both giving and receiving feedback.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Learn about system architecture, performance, reliability, and security in production.
• Contribute to deployment and monitoring tasks as part of professional development.
