Possible Tasks within this Role

Role and Key Responsibilities:

RRDB - Wheels and Tires Database: This project develops a solution for an Excel-based process currently used across all VW Brands. Originally developed by an internal team in Germany, the goal is to transfer it to the Digital:Hub for further development.

• Collaborate with design, frontend, backend, and testing teams to build a scalable, robust product.
• Apply best practices such as testing, code reviews, DDD, CI/CD, Clean and Agile methodologies.
• Design cluster architecture.
• Create automated tests and alerts.
• Analyze new functionalities and system improvements.
• Maintain and create DevOps pipelines, deployment configurations, with knowledge of Kubernetes and OpenShift.
• Knowledge in Java (version 8+), Python, FastAPI.
• Experience with Typescript and Angular.
• Knowledge of S3 (Amazon Simple Storage Service).
• Proficiency in AWS services such as AWS Glue, Lambda, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, VPC.
• Experience with IAM - Identity & Access Management.
• Understanding of communication protocols like REST and gRPC.
• Familiarity with development and architecture patterns, TDD, DDD.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable code.

Requirements:

• Higher Education Certificate or Engineering Degree with at least 1 year of experience.
• English proficiency at B2 level or higher, capable of fluent conversation.
• Organized, proactive, and committed to high-quality standards.
• Ability to propose improvements and identify system enhancements.
