Clarity AI is seeking a Junior Data Research Associate to ensure robust ESG data for reliable sustainability metrics. The role focuses on data collection, verification, and methodological support while contributing to data acquisition and quality assurance.

You will work in a dynamic, diverse team in Madrid with hybrid/remote options and opportunities for professional development in sustainability frameworks and data analysis.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in sustainability, finance, economics, or related field.
• Experience with ESG data collection and research.
• Proficient in MS Excel and BI tools.
• Strong analytical and attention to detail.

About the Role

We are looking for a Junior Data Research Associate who will help us ensure that we have the most accurate ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) data, in order to provide the most reliable sustainability impact measurements.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collecting, verifying, and processing sustainability data sourced from various financial, exchange, and government regulator websites and official reports.
• Assisting in data collection projects through data analysis, quality assurance and data monitoring.
• Conducting frequent research on ESG reporting standards and assisting in the development of methodologies for the collection of best‑in‑class data.
• Mentoring and training external contractors and internal team on ESG indicators and sustainability frameworks.
• Performing ad hoc team projects as needed.

The role is based in Madrid, Spain.

Way of Working: Remote / Hybrid.

What You’ll Need

• Highly motivated, independent, proactive and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, database applications, and BI tools (e.g., Quicksight).
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving skills, with clear attention to detail to work with complex data sets.
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Economics, International Relations, Accounts, Environmental Studies or a similar field of study.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills (minimum C1 level – proficient user).
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL and/or business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Experience in data collection / data research or similar roles.
• Experience in a start‑up and/or tech company.
