Clarity AI, a global sustainability tech company, seeks a Junior Data Research Associate in Madrid. You will help ensure ESG data accuracy to support reliable sustainability impact measurements and global decision making.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree or higher in sustainability, finance, economics, or related field.
• Strong data analysis, attention to detail, and ability to work with complex data sets.
• Experience with data collection/research or similar roles preferred.
• Comfort with English communication and collaborative work in a startup environment.

Responsabilidades

• Collect, verify, and process ESG data from financial, exchange, and regulator sources.
• Support data collection projects via analysis, QA, and monitoring.
• Research ESG reporting standards and help develop data collection methodologies.
• Mentor external contractors and internal teammates on ESG indicators and frameworks.
• Participate in ad-hoc projects as needed.

About The Role

We are looking for a Junior Data Research Associate who will help us ensure that we have the most accurate ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) data, in order to provide the most reliable sustainability impact measurements.

The role provides an opportunity to join a dynamic, talented, diverse and young company, as well as be part of the team that leads Data acquisition—one of the foundations of Clarity AI’s value proposition.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Collecting, verifying and processing Sustainability data sourced from various financial, exchange and government regulator websites and official reports.
• Assisting in data collection projects through data analysis, quality assurance and data monitoring.
• Conducting frequent research on ESG reporting standards and assist in the development of methodologies for the collection of best-in-class data.
• Mentoring and training external contractors and internal team on ESG indicators and sustainability frameworks.
• Performing ad‑hoc team projects as needed.

Location & Working

The role is based in Madrid, Spain. Way of Working: Remote / Hybrid.

What You’ll Need

• Highly motivated, independent, proactive and deeply passionate about sustainability and impact.
• Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, database applications, and BI tools (e.g. Quicksight).
• Strong analytical, organizational, problem‑solving skills, with clear attention to detail to work with complex data sets.
• At least a Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Finance, Economics, International Relations, Accounts, Environmental Studies or similar field of study.
• Excellent oral and written English communication skills (minimum C1 level).
• Basic knowledge of Python, SQL and/or business intelligence tools is a plus.
• Experience in Data collection / data research or similar roles.
• Experience in a start‑up and/or tech company.
