Job summary

Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence in Spain (Vitoria/Bilbao) is seeking a Junior Applications Engineer to start a technical career in metrology, automation, robotics, and quality control. You will join an international team and support demonstrations, development, installation and training activities.

No prior professional experience is required; a structured training programme will develop your skills and support customer-facing projects across Europe, with travel up to 40–60%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or a completed vocational qualification (FP I / Grado Medio, FP II / Grado Superior) in a relevant technical discipline.
• B2 level or higher in English.
• Basic understanding of engineering principles and reading technical drawings.
• Interest in manufacturing technologies, automation, and quality control.
• Proactive attitude with willingness to learn and develop.
• Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 40–60% of the time.
• Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
• Hands-on experience in manufacturing, automation, robotics, or quality environments.
• Knowledge of CAD software.
• Knowledge of GD&T.
• Experience or exposure to industrial robotics.
• Programming knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical demonstrations and customer presentations.
• Support application development and testing activities.
• Participate in installation, commissioning, validation, and FAT/SAT of metrology systems.
• Support troubleshooting of customer technical issues.
• Assist with project implementation activities remotely and on customer sites.
• Develop measurement programs and inspection routines.
• Document project results and implemented technical solutions.
• Support delivery of technical training sessions and help customers adopt best practices for metrology solutions.
• Develop technical expertise in Hexagon products and solutions.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and product enhancement opportunities.

We are looking for a motivated, curious, and enthusiastic Junior Applications Engineer (f/m/d) to join our team in Vitoria.
