Plytix, the leading Product Information Management platform for SMBs, seeks a Retail-focused Journalist. This role is vital for uncovering retail trends, creating compelling content, and contributing to thought leadership to strengthen Plytix's position in retail tech. The ideal candidate has a background in journalism and a passion for retail.
We’re looking for someone with a background in journalism and an eye for retail trends—someone who loves digging into data, spotting stories others miss, and creating standout content (think blogs, video scripts, newsletters, and more). You’ll need strong research skills, storytelling flair, and an understanding of how the retail world ticks. Most of our Marketing team is in Málaga, Spain, but we work globally—so don’t let geography stop you.
Plytix is the world's leading Product Information Management (PIM) platform for Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SMBs). Plytix PIM helps companies store and organize product information ranging from descriptions and images to prices and other specifications, in one place. It's a handy tool that makes managing and updating product data much easier.

This is your chance to work for a high-growth B2B SaaS company located in the US, Denmark, and Spain. Plytix is backed by Tier 1 investors, such as Tiger, and is already a global leader in PIM—one of the fastest-growing verticals in retail. As a Retail-focused Journalist, you’ll uncover stories that matter—from big box stores to boutique DTC brands. You’ll create content that resonates across the ecommerce landscape, contributes to thought leadership, and helps position Plytix as an authority in retail tech.
You’ll be the go-to person for content that dives into retail trends and news. Your work will connect industry insights with Plytix’s mission.
After 1 month: Complete onboarding, including earning your Product Information Management Certificate, and start your first projects.
After 3 months: Be fully up and running—producing relevant content that speaks to our retail-savvy audience.
After 6 months: Anticipate trends, break down complex topics, and lead larger projects like case studies and industry reports.
You’ll be part of our Content & Marketing team, working with content creators, designers, and strategists, as well as collaborating with Sales, Product, and Customer Success teams.
