El Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid busca un investigador predoctoral para trabajar en la síntesis de nanopartículas dentro del proyecto 'FotoArt 5.0'. El candidato ideal tendrá un máster en Física o Química y contribuirá a investigaciones sobre nanopartículas y sus aplicaciones en fotoelectrocatalisis. Se espera un fuerte compromiso con la investigación y se valorará la experiencia previa en el área.

The Institute of Materials Science of Madrid (ICMM) is a research institute under the Spanish Research Council (CSIC). It is situated and belongs to the International Excellence Campus Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM)-CSIC, in a privileged area on the outskirts of Madrid, surrounded by other research institutes. ICMM comprises over 300 researchers and staff members and conducts both theoretical and experimental research in all fields of Physics and Chemistry through nearly 30 research teams ( https://www.icmm.csic.es/en ). The predoctoral researcher will join the ESISNA group, headed by Prof. Dr. José Ángel Martín Gago, which, among other research activities, is devoted to surface science and nanoscience.
The PhD student will work on the gas-phase synthesis of nanoparticles for photoelectrocatalysis applications within the framework of the project from the Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid FotoArt 5.0 (TEC-2024/TEC 308). The photoelectocatalytic activity of the nanoparticles will be evaluated in collaboration with research groups involved in the project with which ESISNA collaborates.
The candidate must have a Master degree in Physics or Chemistry. A strong commitment with the research activities is expected.
