IBM i / AS / 400 in system support and

With more than 60 years of research and development, CODAN is recognized as a supplier of high quality products. At our conveniently located headquarters in Lensahn, around 500 employees work successfully on the development and manufacture of these medical products.

At the earliest possible date, we are looking for a for our Operational Technology department

System Administrator / IT Specialist for IBM i / AS / 400 in the

System support and application development (m / f / d)

Responsibilities :

1. Administration and further development of our IBM i (AS / 400) system landscape during ongoing operations
2. Maintenance and optimization of existing applications
3. Analysis of requirements and implementation of adaptations in close cooperation with the specialist departments
4. Collaboration on system modernization, interface integration and process automation
5. Monitoring, performance optimization and documentation as part of system operation
6. Designing a sustainable and future-proof use of the IBM i platform within our company

Qualifications / Experience :

1. Sound professional experience in administration and development on IBM i (AS / 400)
2. Good knowledge of RPG, ideally also ILE RPG, Java, SQL and other languages of the IBM stack
3. Know-how in system structure, job control, user management and interface communication
4. Independent, structured way of working and willingness to take on responsibility
5. Induction : Training or professional experience in the IT sector (e.g. application development, system administration)
6. Affinity for complex systems and interest in familiarizing yourself with the IBM i platform and RPG programming
7. Willingness for further training and qualification (internal / external)
8. Willingness to learn, team spirit and long-term interest in supporting a stable, business-critical system
