Job Opportunity: Software Engineer - Deployment and Automation Solutions (f/m/d)
Support our team full-time in the area of software development for our central air traffic control systems at our branches.
- Independent development of solutions and complex software changes for our deployment software.
- Documentation and maintenance of user documentation (e.g., in Confluence).
- Specification and responsibility for design solutions in complex software changes, including developing specifications, planning implementation, executing acceptance procedures, and preparing acceptance protocols.
- Integration of new functionalities into existing environments.
- Troubleshooting and verification of application software in test environments.
- Advising customers and users and playing a key role in decision-making processes.
- Working on complex, interdisciplinary projects in a dynamic environment.
What sets you apart
- Degree in a scientific/technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, communications engineering) with several years of professional experience in software development.
- Solid knowledge in software development, especially in hardware, driver programming, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), C, C++, and network technology in Linux environments.
- Experience with software development methods, modern languages and frameworks, and virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM/QEMU, libvirt, Proxmox VE, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible, and knowledge of GitLab, Docker, and other DevOps technologies is desirable.
- High interest in handling and configuring hardware and hardware-related programming.
- Strong analytical skills, goal orientation, and teamwork skills.
- Business fluency in written and spoken English.
