Support our team full-time in software development for our central air traffic control systems at our branches as a:

Software Engineer - Deployment and Automation Solutions (f / m / d)
  • Develop solutions and implement complex software changes for our deployment software independently.
  • Document and maintain user documentation (e.g., in Confluence).
  • Specify and take responsibility for design solutions in complex software changes, including developing specifications, planning implementation, and conducting acceptance procedures with protocols.
  • Integrate new functionalities into existing environments.
  • Troubleshoot and verify application software in test environments.
  • Advise customers and users, playing a key role in decision-making processes.
  • Work on complex, interdisciplinary projects in a dynamic environment.

What sets you apart

  • Degree in a scientific/technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, communications engineering) with several years of professional experience in software development.
  • Strong knowledge in software development, especially hardware, driver programming, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, C, C++), and network technology in Linux environments.
  • Experience with software development methods, modern languages and frameworks, and virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM/QEMU, libvirt, Proxmox VE, Kubernetes).
  • Experience with automation tools like Puppet and Ansible, and familiarity with GitLab, Docker, and other DevOps technologies is desirable.
  • Interest and enjoyment in handling and configuring hardware and related programming.
  • High analytical skills, goal orientation, and teamwork skills.
  • Business fluent in written and spoken English.
