Support our team full-time in software development for our central air traffic control systems at our branches as a:
Software Engineer - Deployment and Automation Solutions (f / m / d)
- Develop solutions and implement complex software changes for our deployment software independently.
- Document and maintain user documentation (e.g., in Confluence).
- Specify and design solutions for complex software changes, including developing specifications, planning implementation, conducting acceptance procedures, and preparing acceptance protocols.
- Integrate new functionalities into existing environments.
- Troubleshoot and verify application software in test environments.
- Advise customers and users, playing a key role in decision-making processes.
- Work on complex, interdisciplinary projects in a dynamic environment.
What sets you apart
- Degree in a scientific or technical field (e.g., computer science, mathematics, communications engineering) with several years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge in software development, especially in hardware, driver programming, scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), C and C++, and network technology in Linux environments.
- Experience with software development methods, modern languages and frameworks, and virtualization technologies (e.g., KVM/QEMU, libvirt, Proxmox VE, Kubernetes).
- Experience with automation tools such as Puppet and Ansible, and knowledge of GitLab, Docker, and other DevOps technologies is desirable.
- High interest and enjoyment in handling and configuring hardware and hardware-related programming.
- Strong analytical skills, goal orientation, and teamwork abilities.
- Business fluency in written and spoken English.
