Formación

Software Developer / Programmer (m / f / d)

The Center for Education and Opportunities (gGmbH) pursues the goal of promoting the educational opportunities of children and young people in the Gütersloh district so that they become more independent of their background or social situation. To this end, we are already implementing projects for elementary school. In the future, projects for daycare centers will also be developed and tested in three municipalities in the Gütersloh district.

We are looking for the earliest possible date for a position with a job share of 50-90%.

Responsibilities

  • Design and programming of digital diagnostic tools for schools
  • Updating and further developing the software of existing diagnostic tools based on user feedback
  • Carrying out tests, bug fixes and quality assurance
  • Documentation of the developed software and processes
  • Participation in the creation of user manuals
  • Collaboration with internal teams to implement projects
  • Training and support of regional administrators (third level) in the use of diagnostic tools related to the software
  • Advising the 'Data-based management' project manager on setting up a data portal for data-based, municipal management in our 'Alliance for Education and Opportunities' project
  • Collaboration with external service providers on the use of our software with cooperation partners

What you bring with you

  • Completed training or studies in the field of computer science, software development or comparable qualification
  • Sound knowledge of HTML / CSS (ideally also jQuery, Ajax)
  • Experience in dealing with Linux servers (e.g. Debian, Ubuntu)
  • Confident handling of databases and server structures
  • Basic understanding of IT security and data protection
  • Ideally experience with tools such as Git, Composer, SSH, Cron
  • Willingness to work intensively with our external scientific consultants
  • Initiative, analytical skills and a structured way of working
  • Experience in (agile) project management (OKR, SCRUM or similar)
  • Willingness to undergo continuous further training
  • Willingness to work in a multi-professional team (with social scientists, lawyers, pedagogues, ...)
