Software Developer Energy Management (m / f / d) Platform and Frontend in Offenbach am Main

Researching and validating innovative technologies for connected vehicle architectures is a central task at our European research and development center in Offenbach. We leverage our global network of R&D centers for joint research projects and to define technical development strategies.

Our research focuses on the optimized use of renewable energies and intelligent energy management within the "Energy & Digital Systems Research" field. We are developing a future software platform to connect all components and optimize energy flows, including renewable energy generation via photovoltaics, energy consumption, and storage systems (e.g., electric vehicles) integrated into smart grids. The generation, storage, and use of hydrogen are also key areas of our research.

Your role will involve developing, expanding, and optimizing these and future software platforms as part of a team. The focus will be on developing suitable front-end components and implementing energy management solutions. You will collaborate with colleagues from other locations to connect data with our backend and cloud architectures.

Your future responsibilities include :

• Developing software architectures for integrating electric vehicles into smart energy grids
• Designing and implementing front-end solutions
• Collaborating with external software service providers on joint projects
• Testing and validating prototypes and applications
• Managing and further developing the internal software development environment for research projects

You will work with our headquarters in Japan, partner research centers, and external software companies within a highly motivated team.

Your profile :

• Training or studies in system architecture or software development
• Several years of professional experience in software development
• Strong knowledge of (agile) software development methodologies
• Experience with KI-supported technologies in software processes

Additional advantageous skills include :

• Development of web and mobile applications
• Experience with cloud architectures and applications
• Experience with agile project management

Excellent command of English is essential for communication in our international environment. You have a keen eye for innovation, a strong analytical mindset, and enjoy working in agile teams.
