What you can expect :

Your core tasks are the provision and support of IT infrastructures in our national and international customer projects for sustainable local public transport. You act as an integrator between the various specialist departments within INIT and form the fundamental interface between hardware and software in our projects.

Here is an insight into your tasks :

• In coordination with our technical project teams and our customers, you will take care of the provision of the required resources in our projects (on-premise, virtual and in the cloud)
• You are mainly responsible for planning, setting up and operating network and security infrastructures, virtualization platforms and active directory environments. You will set up the necessary systems and services and ensure their smooth operation
• You will also be responsible for monitoring and carrying out specialized 2nd / 3rd level error analyses and troubleshooting in cooperation with our development department
• You will continuously eliminate vulnerabilities and support the further development of our customers' infrastructures and their services as the basis for a sustainable and secure INIT system
• As part of your role, you will contribute to the creation of our technical concepts and documentation for our global tenders

What you bring with you :

• You have completed training or studies in the IT sector and can impress with your relevant professional experience
• Proven knowledge of hardware, network technologies, storage systems and IT security
• Confident in the administration of Microsoft and Linux operating systems and proven experience in installing, setting up and managing virtualized environments with VMware and Hyper-V, including data backup solutions
• Knowledge of Citrix technologies and NetScaler ADC is a plus for our team
• Experience with container technologies would be ideal!
• You like to pass on your knowledge and enjoy supporting the professional development of our colleagues
• You can experience the results of your work live on site during occasional customer visits
• You communicate confidently in German and English and show initiative
