The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in both front-end and back-end development, including custom app creation and performance tuning. Vitabay is a family-run e-commerce company with over 25 years of experience in the field of nutritional supplements and health products. We have been developing and selling high-quality vitamins and supplements since 1999 - successfully via Amazon, and increasingly via our own Shopify store.

Our goal : to make the Shopify store the mainstay of our DTC business - technically strong, performant and scalable in the long term.

To this end, we are looking for an experienced Shopify developer who not only writes code, but also actively contributes to Vitabay's digital future.

Tasks

• Technical development of our Shopify Plus Shop (front- & backend)
• Individual theme customizations and development of tailor-made Shopify apps
• Integration of relevant tools such as Klaviyo, GA4, A / B testing and much more
• Performance optimization and continuous improvement of the user experience
• Close collaboration with marketing, design & management

What you bring with you :

Front-end competence :

• Confident handling of Shopify APIs (REST and GraphQL).
• Experience in developing custom Shopify apps (e.g. based on Node.js or PHP).
• Practical experience with the integration of common e-commerce tools such as Klaviyo.

Back-end & scaling :

• Knowledge of extending Shopify functionalities (e.g. via Shopify Functions or cloud solutions)
• Experience with high-traffic stores & performance tuning
• Focus on performance, load time optimization and scalable architecture

Data-based optimization :

• Familiar with A / B testing, GA4, funnels and conversion optimization
• Ability to derive and implement specific optimization potential from analysis data (funnels, upselling strategies)
