The Central Data Processing of the Tax Administration is the IT service and competence center of the tax administration of the state of Rhineland-Palatinate and is located in Koblenz.

Responsibilities include:

• Administration of the automated installation of Windows operating systems for all FAT clients (notebooks, PCs, virtual clients)
• Administration and optimization of the software distribution platform based on Microsoft Configuration Manager (MCM, formerly SCCM)
• Planning and organizing hardware and software rollouts
• Planning, installation, and administration of special workstations (e.g., standalone solutions or handicap workstations)
• Operation and administration of the MDM platform (Mobile Device Management)
• Creation of new device configurations and handover of mobile devices (iOS)
• Implementation of IT security measures within your area of responsibility
• Development and management of virus scanner strategies on FAT clients
• Support for hardware and software issues (3rd level support)
• Participation in IT projects and documentation of IT infrastructure, focusing on Windows FAT client infrastructure, software distribution, and automation processes

Qualifications:

• Completed vocational training as an IT specialist (m / f / d) in system integration with several years of experience
• Knowledge of current Windows server and client operating systems and architectures
• Familiarity with Microsoft technologies such as DHCP, DNS, GPO, PowerShell
• Experience with software distribution tools (preferably MCM or SCCM)
• Knowledge of mobile device management (desirable)
• Understanding of network technologies, protocols, VPN, IPv4, and IPv6
• Ability to handle complex error situations
• Practical experience with programming and scripting languages like PowerShell or Batch
• Proficiency in German (C1 / C2 level)

This is a permanent, full-time position with extensive training provided. The employment classification can be in pay group 10 TV-L if criteria are met.
